Privacy Policy
Beacon is an invite-only workspace. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@beacon.careers.
Who this applies to
Beacon is operated as a private internal tool. We do not maintain a public marketplace, public profiles, or a self-serve sign-up flow. If you do not have an invitation, this policy still applies to your visit to this marketing page — but in that case the only data we process about you is described under Visiting this site.
What we collect
From workspace members
- The email address you sign in with, the name and any profile details you choose to provide.
- Files, notes, and contact records you bring into the workspace.
- A log of meaningful actions you take inside the workspace (creating, editing, sending) so the team can audit and replay history.
- Outbound message metadata (whether a message was opened, replied to, or bounced) when third-party tools we integrate with report it back.
Visiting this site
- Standard web-server access logs (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp), retained for diagnostic purposes for a rolling 30-day window.
- A session cookie if and only if you sign in. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (via Vercel) to count visits and see which pages are useful — it sets no cookies, does not track you across other sites, and collects no personal information. We do not use cross-site tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party ad trackers.
How we use it
We use the data above strictly to operate the workspace, keep your team’s records intact, send the emails you ask us to send, and keep the lights on. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party except the providers listed below.
Service providers we rely on
- Supabase — managed Postgres, authentication, and file storage. Your records live there, encrypted at rest.
- Vercel — application hosting, edge network, and privacy-friendly cookieless visit analytics.
- Brevo — transactional email (sign-in codes and similar).
- Groq — language-model inference for the drafting features inside the workspace. Prompts and outputs are not retained by Groq beyond the immediate request.
- Instantly — email delivery for the outreach you send from the workspace. Recipient name, email, and company are shared to deliver and track those messages.
- ZoomInfo — business-contact enrichment for the decision-makers you target (name, title, work email, company).
- Mailchimp — our early-access list. If you request access, your email is added so we can keep you posted about Beacon.
- Stripe— subscription billing & payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly; we don’t store full card numbers.
Each provider above operates under their own privacy and security commitments and is bound by a data-processing agreement.
Your choices
- Stop receiving outreach. Submit your email at beacon.careers/optout and confirm via the link we send you. We honor confirmed opt-outs within 30 days across any contact data we acquire later.
- Access and correction. Workspace members can edit their own profile inside Beacon. To request a copy of all data we hold about you, write to hello@beacon.careers.
- Deletion under GDPR Article 17 or CCPA. Use the form at /optoutand pick the “GDPR” or “CCPA” reason. We remove the account, suppress the email, and erase associated personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required to honor an active obligation (for example, unresolved billing or a legal request).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies tied to your identity. We follow the principle of least privilege internally and review access on a quarterly cadence.
Children
Beacon is a professional tool. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will remove the account.
Changes
If we update this policy in any material way, we will post the revised version here with an updated Last updated date and notify active workspace members by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
